Blue Cruise Bodrum

Bodrum Blue Cruise in Turkey

The town of Bodrum, where Blue Cruise and Blue Voyage history began is the main yachting centre encompassing the construction, maintenance, repair and management of the yacht tourism in Turkey. Bodrum shipyards still produce traditional yachts called Gulets, which are synonymous with the town of Bodrum as well as all kinds of sailing yachts using latest technology.

The Gulf of Gokova, extending Southeast from the Bodrum Peninsula, is referred to as the “Original Blue Cruise Route” since navigating this route for leisure sailing was pioneered  by the writers, Cevat Sakir Kabaagac (Fisherman of Halikarnassos) and Azra Erhat in the 1950s.

Sailors departing from the town of Bodrum will discover the great harmony of blue and green together with the wonders of the underwater world. The first places to be seen are Kara Ada (Black Island), Kargicik Buku, Pabuc Burnu, Kargi Adasi (Kargi Island), Alakisla and Cokertme. Some other worthwhile stops with clear waters and pine trees on the Blue Cruise route include Kucuk Cati, Buyuk Cati, Yedi Adalar (Seven Islands), Longoz, Degirmen Buku (Windmill Fiord) and Karacasogut. Besides these natural wonders, historical places such as Sedir Adasi (Cleopatra Island) and Keramos antique city should be visited as well.
