ABOUT BLUE CRUISE

An alternative way to have a relaxing holiday is to board a traditional wooden Gulet for Blue Cruise. When compared to vacationing on land at some resort villages, the plus points are to the guests’ advantage.

WHAT DO YOU DO ON A BLUE CRUISE?

You are in a boat with a limited number of people.  If you are bored with one cove, you can sail to another. If you don't like the crowded area, you can still sail to a silent bay, jump into the water, swim, and enjoy water sports without the scrutinizing looks of bystanders.

You don’t have to surrender to other people’s liking and you don’t have to watch the animations. Just carry out your own program. Sleep as long as you like, eat as much as you want, go on the shores, walk in the green, eat at rural restaurants, and cook if you wish.

Enjoy the sunset, shoot pictures, read books, play cards, sip your drink either under the shade of a tent or in the hammock, watching the scenery.

If you prefer, get up early and take a dip in the clear waters, collect shells, and prepare your fishing tackle, and fish before anyone wakes up. Feed the fish with the leftovers from the breakfast table and watch them gather around the boat.

Check the map, locate your whereabouts, look at the sky, talk to the captain, listen to his stories and memories, try to sing some of the local songs, and listen to your favorite music. Watch the lighthouses on your route, visit the archeological sites, use binoculars to see the distant panorama, try to guess the ships sailing by, learn a few sailors’ knots, increase your naval knowledge, and dream about buying a boat.

If you don’t want to sleep in the cabin, grab a sleeping bag and sleep on the deck. But be sure to watch the stars in the sky, that you have not noticed or seen while in the city. Watch the moon and the phosphorescence on the sea. Read daily papers that you have previously ordered while at Gocek Port, and solve crosswords and puzzles.

Try to figure out the best way to cook the fresh fish just brought to the boat. Go to the shore and build a stone castle. Row your small boat to the shore and back and listen to the sound of your oars.

BLUE CRUISE OR HOTEL VACATION?  ADVANTAGES OF BLUE CRUISE...

First of all, you don’t have to stay in one spot; you can change your location and surroundings according to your wish, swim in various bays, and enjoy the sun.

You don’t have to dress up as in hotels or resort villages.

While taking a dip into the water you don’t have to use transportation or climb stairs, look for umbrellas and chaise lounges, or leave towels to reserve your seat.

You don’t have to queue according to the buffet times. There is no waiter at the side of your table to change the used ashtray.

You do not have to watch the animation shows in other languages.

You do not have to be disappointed with the realities of the outer world and try to adapt yourself when you walk out of the resort village where everything is organized as a dream.

You do not have to survive the authoritative looks of the hotel staff.

CHARTERING A PRIVATE YACHT

Forming a group with your family or friends will be sufficient enough to sail a private cruise.

All you have to provide us is the number of people in your group and your daily budget per person, together with your vacation dates. We will be happy to help you with the route and yacht/gulet selection process.

You can select one of our standard, luxurious, or deluxe yachts. The important thing is the maintenance of the boat, not the age. Golden Yachting takes excellent care of its boats, whatever category they are in. This is a must for your safety as well as your comfort. Therefore, our boats are thoroughly maintained with the highest security standards and they abide by the laws of international and local regulations.  Also, they are controlled by the Coast Guard and the Port Authorities.

Our yachts have 2 to 16 cabins and each cabin has WC, bath, and washbasin. Their length change between 15 to 50 meters and are designed in old-style “Gulet”, hand made of wood, with engines and sails.

You do not have to stretch your budget to charter a boat. Always bear in mind that whichever boat you rent, whether the most deluxe or the most reasonably priced one, the bays or inlets you will visit, the view, and the sun are the same. The joy of a blue cruise depends upon the harmony with your friends, the taste of food, and the staff of the boat. Thus, we assure you that whatever your budget is, we will provide you with the most suitable boat.

Starting from April 1st until the end of October, you can organize a blue cruise, and rent a boat. However, due to high demand, we suggest that you make your reservation at the earliest possible date.

LIFE ON BOARD

All boats/yachts have daily two or three stops. The last stop is always overnight. Cruising is done with an engine, however, if requested and if the weather permits, you can benefit from the sails. When programming the route, a maximum of four hours of cruising should be planned daily. Additional fuel cost is to be covered by the guests for extended hours.

Lots of different equipment such as fishing tackles, snorkels, and service boats are available at our boats. Some yachts have windsurf and canoe as well, which are free of charge. Ask us for the rental of additional motorized water sports such as water skis, bananas, and jet skis.

Blue Cruise is enjoying the beauties of nature, silent coves, blue sea, and green surroundings. However, who can hinder your nap under the tent or deprive you of reading a good book...or fishing on the open seas for an appetizing dinner. You can watch the depth of the blue seas with a snorkel: we are confident you will be mystified and will not want to come out. When we anchor in small bays you can take a short walk in the pine forests.  You will have plenty of time to take archeological tours on some special spots. Just a pair of walking shoes will be needed. It is possible to extend the list of alternatives; briefly, you will be enjoying the taste of freedom.

KEEP IN MIND

Whether it is a private yacht or a rental cabin that you choose for the Blue Cruise, we want you to keep the following hints in mind;

  • LUGGAGE: Prefer flexible, foldable ones. One of the advantages of the Blue Cruise is that you won’t need many outfits.
  • DON’T FORGET: Your medicine, camera, battery charger, and sun-block lotion.
  • FIRST DAY: Don’t rush to be on board before the specified time; the previous guests left the yacht at 10:00 and it needs to be cleaned thoroughly for your group.
  • FOOD: Food will be served on the back deck. Breakfast, lunch and dinner time may vary according to the arrival time from one bay to another but your captain will inform you before the changes.
  • DRINKS: If you are taking the cabin tour, all non-alcoholic beverages will be included in the tour price. Alcoholic beverages can be bought from the yacht bar with a receipt. At the end of each day, you are going to sign a receipt that includes all the alcoholic beverages that you’ve consumed and the total will be added to your account balance. You can pay the beverage bill at the end of your tour.
  • SHOES: Please do not wear leather and/or high heel shoes on the yacht. Prefer rubber sole shoes or slippers.
  • CIGARETTES: Smoking in cabins is strictly forbidden and dangerous. In order to prevent fire, please do not lock your doors. You can entrust your valuables to the captain in return for a consignment report.
  • LIGHTS: If you are not in your cabin, please turn off the lights. By doing so, you would save the yacht’s batteries, therefore reducing fuel consumption and protecting the environment.
  • CLEANING: Before boarding, the yacht will be cleaned from top to bottom. Sheets and towels are renewed and changed twice a week. During the tour, the deck and toilettes are cleaned every day.
  • DECK: Please be careful of your belongings. Especially on a windy day, things may fly into the sea. We will claim no responsibility for your belongings.
  • BE CAREFUL: of ropes, edges of portholes, wires of the equipment, steps on the deck, propellers, and screws.
  • HOT WATER: Water may be heated with the engine of the yacht or with an electrical heater. With the engine heater, the water warms up after the engine starts and stays hot for a long time. Please inform the crew if you wish to operate the electrical heating system.
  • TOILET PAPER: Please throw papers into the bins in the bathrooms. Otherwise, paper thrown into the toilets will cause a blockage in the drainage system. Paper bins will be cleaned every day.
  • PORTHOLES (windows): Please keep them closed while sailing. Your bed and belongings may get wet because of the waves.
  • WATERSPORTS: Please always stay in vision or let someone know where you are going.
  • DIVING and JUMPING: Do not dive or jump while the engine is on. The captain may maneuver and not see you. Please wait for your own safety until the engine is turned off and the swimming ladder is lowered. Do not climb the pillars or jump from them.
  • BOAT: Each yacht has its own small boat. The boat will only be used by the crew for safety reasons or during an emergency. If you want to have a small tour in bays please inform the captain, the decision belongs to him.
  • LIFE VESTS: There is an appropriate number of vests in each cabin.
  • TIP: It is not mandatory to tip the crew. If you are pleased with the service and want to tip then give it to the captain. He will distribute it among the crew.
  • ASK and LEARN: Another advantage of Blue Cruise is learning things about seamanship. So, please feel free to ask anything that you may want to learn.
  • CAPTAIN: Simply put, he is in charge of everything that goes on in the yacht. The captain’s instructions must always be obeyed. This is for your safety. Please keep this in mind and take his warnings into account.
